Oh Danamo, it may be a logical explanation but its still quite unbelievable. You figure a deer about that size might weigh something in the order of say, 200 300 pounds, can you imagine the force of the impact to send it sailing through the air and of all places to land, for it to land on top of a power utility pole? I must admit, when I first got the email, I by passed the story and went right to the pictures. I didnt know what to make of it. I instantly thought this was an inhuman, deprived, prank of some sick individual and I got a little angry until I read the story it came with.
I investigated this (like I do with so many seemingly unbelievable stories) on www.snopes.com and the story is apparently TRUE! if you ever have any questions about a story you hear, just go to their website and search for a keyword or two and 99% of the time you'll be able to find out if it's really true or not http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/poledeer.asp

I recently received this unbelievable and disturbing story from a colleague:"Who would have ever believed?
Service call of the month from a Baltimore Gas &Electric residential customer ...
BG&E received a call from a customer saying, "My power is out." When you come to fix it be sure to bring a truck with a tall enough bucket to remove the deer."
The customer service rep, prudently trying to gather information to help diagnose the problem asked, "What deer?"
The customer replied, "There is a deer on top of one of the electric poles on Wilkes Rd about 1/2 mile west of Perimeter Rd."
The customer service rep tried desperately to pull herself together and not laugh in front of the customer and replied,
"We'll dispatch someone right away to investigate the power outage, thank you for the call."
Upon completion of the call, the customer service rep proceeded to share the funny story with her coworkers in the office and they all had a good laugh.
Well, lo and behold, the serviceman who repaired the problem stopped by the customer service office the following day with these pictures:
Sure enough, the deer had been hit by a train & landed on top of a distribution feeder pole! Unbelievable!!!!!"
