you can, however (read the notes carefully from whatever web site) make a multiple-boot partition with linux. You can't run them together, but can run them seperately. But those Service Pack updates..sheesh, I guess I'm lucky, because all they do is lock up my network connection. Also, I do believe that Microsoft will (for a 'nominal' fee) provide you with CD copies of this stuff, if you ask.
