How about doenloading the demo version and try it out? That will give you a good impression what you will get. I think your 256 MB RAM is a little bit on the very low end. Even 512 MB will maybe not the ideal solution. But that is the same for all 3D applications. They are very RAM intensive. You can think about to buy even more RAM and stay with the old graphic card - if that is possible. Yes, Vue 4 does use OpenGL. But there are some issues with specific graphic cards. Thats why you should try it out - wether it works fine on your system or not. AND, I think on E-ons site there is a list of compatible graphic cards. You may have a look at that too. One BIG advantage of Vue is the perfect import of Poser files. You can open Poser files (pz3) directly and import that to Vue. Bryce can't do that. Just a little outlook. Vue 4 Pro and i expect Vue 5 Studio/Infinite are even able to detect changes in Poser pz3 files automatically and update the imported objects then. Not a bad thing for the workflow. But again, best is to try out the demo. Then you know exactly what you can expect.
