Hello all... Well I'm new to creating textures so go easy on me... but I'd like to know wot u think of my try from the old texter i got from bryce... (Right) to the one i created (Left) well comments plz... Left Ship texture created in Photoshop 6... Thanks from darkness

I like it, changes the whole style of the craft. Keep at it, also check out some more advanced texturing tuts out there.

I like the one on the right, it has a battleship feel to it, and even so the same model on the left with another texture looks more like a small fighter ship. As Moongoat said "changes the whole style of the craft". Nice work.

Yeah...it's a pretty good texture. Probably way better than mine would be! Try adding some panels or something...take a look at some of the more advanced tutorials, like MoonGoat suggested, to get ideas of this you could do to the texture!

Over all, I think its great that youre learning about texturing. Although your initial triumphs may not be exemplarily outstanding, theyre good enough to show that youre learning the basics of texturing and that the real texture making is not too far off. The craft on the left indicates to me that you understand box texture coordinates and how its laid out on the template. Now that you have a handle on it, the real texture making process starts, the eternal search for situational realism and implementation. Good work!
