I have managed to import the picture into an existing dingbat font and scale it, so thats done fortunately, but it was more accidental than anything and Im unsure if I can duplicate the feat. I googled around and I do agree Font Creator seems to be one of the best options for this. Looking at the user manual.pdf it appears there is quite a bit available to learn in it, I just found myself frustrated with not being able to successfully use search and index for things like finding/adjusting the dingbat dimensions ("background" size), simple paint or pixel editing of existing dings if thats possible, etc etc. Ill spend some more time with the manual and give the forums a shot before the evaluation runs out.
