Years ago I knew a guy who was working in some arabic countries. There he could buy original software very cheap, because they couldn't get any support for them. Internet wasn't allowed in most of the parts he was in, so no customer support, no updates, nothing except of what was on the cd. He did have access to the internet though because of the company computers, but the natives didn't. *Oh - I forgot to mention that the software he bought was in english.
