I can only hope the good souls will continue here as i plan to & the use of "checks & balances" can be applied across the board... this may be terribly out of place & OT... but i do not have a photo or any more of my own words to express my feelings right now... but i do have a song that just popped into my head to help soothe & let us move on, i have found music to be good for the soul... i hope some of you will remember it... may i just quote a stanza or 2 & share in it's history: *"There is a season, turn, turn, turn And a time to every purpose under heaven A time to build up, a time to break down A time to dance, a time to mourn A time to cast away stones A time to gather stones together To everything, turn, turn, turn There is a season, turn, turn, turn And a time to every purpose under heaven... A time for peace, I swear it's not too late"* "Roger McGuinn of the Byrds arranged "Turn! Turn! Turn! (To Everything There Is A Season)" for Judy Collins on her 1963 album, Judy Collins #3 (Elektra, 1963) In 1965 it was then released by the Byrds capturing the time of late 1965 The words, were adapted by Pete Seeger from chapter three of the Book of Ecclesiastes Having come from the pioneering wartime generation of Guthrie and Leadbelly, and having paid dearly for his principles -- Seeger and the Weavers were black-listed in the mid '50s for their refusal to cooperate with the House Un-American Activities Committee -- Seeger was considered an elder statesman of the folk music world by the time the Byrds recorded "Turn! Turn! Turn!" what has this to do with the thread? I don't know but i was inspired to share it here
