I'm sorry I left out the most important part, the procedure.

It was all done in the hair room.

The hair room procedure, worked straight off. What I did for the front mane, I did in one take. I suppose I was lucky, but I know a good thing or dumb luck when I see it. :-)

A long time ago, Napoleon's staff was trying to convince Napoleon to promote a successful battle hardened officer to general. They told Napoleon how brave the officer was in battles,and how shrewd his startegies were in dealing with the enemy.

Napoleon stopped the wrangling, and said, "What you say may all be true. But is he lucky?"

As for magnets, they look like a good tool to learn about, and I'm going to find a spot to do some experimenting. I knew they existed, but had no idea what to do with them. Your mane lengthening trick gave me a feel for the results of their application.
