trueSpace here (I love the interface, and IMO it is on par with 3dsMax for workflow) tS4 is available on the 3d graphics mags this month I hear and 3 is available for free @caligari's site if I remember correctly. gmax (free 3dsMax4)is a good solution but to get anything useable out of it you need plugins. Tempest and a md3 converter program
