m, check out Stefan's Firefly FAQ. He's got some good tips on speeding up renders, and avoiding crashes.

Note that there are always tradeoffs. Smaller bucket size is less likely to crash, but much slower. Higher shading rate is faster, but the image won't look as good. Etc.
