OK let me make some things clear since this is a subject I know well :-) - forum is a Latin word of neuter gender; - the Latin plural of forum is fora (fori is the plural of forus, which is a different word of masculin gender) - it has to be said, however, that the word forum was mostly used at the singular declination (plural was uncommon) - it has also to be said that usually, whenever a word from a foreign language enters the vocabulary of a different language, it becomes sumbitted to the rules of the new language. So if English rules say that the original forms are to be respected, then the plural is "fora"; but if English rules say that foreign words take the declination uses of the English language, then the correct + plural may also be "forums". This depends on the rules of English, and on that, I do not speak, because I am not an expert. You know it better than me :-) Orio (former Latin professor)
