I will have to make this more difficult. To go up the apples (cockney for stairs. apples and pears: stairs), well, physically do so, and pay attention to your body. This is a very good way to learn how to pose. You will notice that your hips move also. When youlift your left foot and move it forwards on the stair, your pelvis also moves its left side forwards, and also sligthly upwards. This also happens when you walk, but on the stairs, your shoulders do not move in the opposite way, but in the same way: left foot forwards is pelvis and shoulder girdle left side forwards. If you only move the leg forwards, you get a rather "stiff" and woody movement, not unlike the ancient Egyptian style.
