ok, I'm not defending them, coz it ain't right, but they're possibly filling a need that is much older than our intelligent minds comprehend, and that's one of marking their territory... every animal does it, it's natural. As for the "Ban Council Tax" bit, well, they're using a channel that has been developed very effectively by the media, and obviously works - if the comment wasn't there, we wouldn't be looking at a sign in Hertfordshire, would we? Albeit the wrong way to portray their feelings, I agree with the sentiment completely, and let's face it - they've actually done something about demonstrating their feelings instead of sitting on their hands and accepting fate. Add to that, it may actually make someone on the council realise what an ugly flipping sign and board that is and get a decent one put in it's place. (",)
