Some printer manufacturers tried to sue companies that were selling ink cartridges from Web sites using their trademarked names. The judge ruled that they let it go too long. They would have had a case if they had filed suit immediately, but they let web sites use their marks for years before trying to crack down, and therefore lost their right to do so.
