advance warning ~ I don't have vue 5... having said that, I would have to agree with Djeser's diagnosis. It does indeed look like a transparency issue.
When we were mid transition from vue 3.1 to vue 4etc, this kind off look was quite common. The most effective universal fix was to ensure that all the transparency settings in the specific problem/issue file eg. hair/ texture/ model; were checked to make sure max transparency (or colour if appropriate etc) was set to 100% in all layers before saving for export into vue.
Once imported into Vue, through the world material/object editor (f7)each layer was tweaked to ensure complete transparency had infact been translated.
Often, we discovered (in the early days) it hadn't completely translated through export/import transition, and so we adjusted it accordingly.
The most common files with issues were (for me specifically) hair files. Especially since they often had multiple trans layers to begin with.
Not sure if this was helpful, but I thought it might help a bit if it was explained with a bit of detail.
Would be very interested to hear the outcome, and or alternative findings & solutions etc.
