I guess Poser is not the application to create characters in. You'd need at least the free Wings3D, the cheap Silo or one of the "higher" packages. Perhaps Shade which has very good Poser integration as both companies have merged. What you can do in Poser is see that the object/figure has moving parts and morphs, which in itself is also quite a bit of work and study.
