oh yes. First, you have to understand the swap meet 'ethos' here in Southern California...it's not junk. It supports an army of 'antique and collectable' dealers and their families. And the 'swap meet' cycle is tied to the 'garage sale' cycle. The competition by this army of swapers between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM on a given Saturday morning at garage sales is fierce, brutal, swift and intense. There are four important thriving meets, Rose Bowl, Pasadena CC, Santa Monica and Long Beach. You can 'swap' every Sunday! And Hollywood comes out, everyone from prop people, wardrobe people to actors.
