I have as of yet to make a good animated explosion. As I said in the other thread do a search on the forum...there were ideas passed around. And expanding sphere with a volume cloud material set to it and a light inside it works ok. You adjust the base density of the material and size of the sphere and also the intensity of the light. I made a post a couple years ago using that method.
