well, considering the 1st(4th) starts on such a 'down note', it's imperative that the 3rd would have to get worse just to have the continuity 'continue'. I've known this since they announced the '1st' 3.
I sorta thought they were 'family' pics, but I guess the director/originator may have 'matured' some. What our kids see nowadays compared to what kids in the mid-70's (I was just starting college when they came out), the kids today (gad, that makes me sound old..;) are a bit more jaded..we'll see when the movie comes out.
