I said he was free to link the images. I could care a less what others do on thiner sites.
The only links that are not allowed are explained in the TOS
We can use a portion of songs, a portion of poems and a quote with the authors name beside it.
I do not want to make this Photo section an un-fun place, but do have to stick to the guidelines that I know of so far.
I am researching more copyright info all the time and have not yet seen anything on jokes.
[oh ffs.. those images are ALL OVER THE FRIGGIN WEB!]
If you are on an open road and you speed against posted signs, but there is no police around is speeding considered legal.
Would you do that.
I question why people, when they know what the policy is here why they have to keep posting other peoples photos.
It makes me look like an ogre when I have to remove them.
It does not feel good having people yelling at you.
Especially seeing big F word tantrums being thrown my way. That is something I find childish. It is offensive to me also.
I enjoy reading jokes.I enjoy all the things others like in this gallery too...but I can easily stay within Renderosity's boundaries and still have fun.
It is also OK to have Off Topic subjects on this forum. They do not have to adhere strictly to Photo related.I do know that the people in the photo section feel this is the only place they want to post thiner thoughts as some have made a friendship with the other members,so no one is chasing them away to the Community Forum.
Now cmon...please don't make this volunteer work difficult for us.
Under the fair use doctrine of the U.S. copyright statute, it is permissible to use limited portions of a work including quotes, for purposes such as commentary, criticism, news reporting, and scholarly reports. There are no legal rules permitting the use of a specific amount of use and whether a particular use qualifies as fair use depends on all the circumstances. Consequently, there are no magic formulas or percentages that determine fair use. For more information, please read our"Fair Use FAQ"
