Yeah, Flash is good. You could do a cheep South Park type of animation with Flash. The hardest part will be the lip sync. But in the latest issue of 3D World magazine they are giving away the full version of Mimic 2 for Poser. Perhaps a cartoon rendering and Mimic might be a easier test run?
