I was thinking of all the artists in the past that made it. Like Van Gogh. He sold art at the beganning of his life then he was a missiony, then he took up art. His work had a dark mood to them but when he went to Paris and meet the impressitions and show them his work they waqs not inrest with his work. But he did see and like they lighter colors and he lighten his colors. But he keep on painting the way he like to. Even Paul Gougdan[misspelled] even lived with him and that when he cut his ear off. both did what they like to paint. the man that build the Essic tower[misspelled] in Paris. He build it with all of Paris against him they made him into a animal for destorying the skyline of Paris. Yiou can read them on the net. there are hundures of artist in the past the same way. And where is the critics that put these artists down? They not in the history books but Van Gogh and Paul Gougdan is. And Dr Suess his teacher keep on giveing him bad grades in Art. go to this link to read about it http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=895791&Start=1&Artist=kimariehere&ByArtist=Yes I have to do some looking to find more artis i can think of them but can not recall they names which are in the history books. Plus the scientests that say things but was show they was wrong like in 1941 one big time scietest say it would took 1,000,000,000 tons of rockit to get to the moon He was wrong big time.[ I just thow that in to show other areas are wrong too] the artist have the right to take the comments or not, but do not try to mold the artist into another you. So if the artist doing the same things, so what, move on.

Perhaps the saddest thing is that to my knowledge Van Gogh sold maybe a few pictures during his life time, he died without being appreciated. His brother financially supported him. His works now sell for more money than I could ever dream of ...

van gogh , to my knowledge ,only sold one, in lifetime, his brother theo inherited his work, but since he died short after vincent, the complete collection went to theos wife. she sold a lot of his work, to support her and vincent, the nephew of the painter. theo and vincent are buried in france in Auvers sur oise in a double grave.

Thank you for that info, I knew the bond between the brothers was close, it is a poignant story!
