I think you're missing the point...
Without creating any further "stink" as you say...
Your image is more then welcome in RR's 2D or MM galleries, especially since you've been given permission to use it...
now if you'd like us to change our banner write-up:
"This gallery is for Renderosity members to display their ORIGINAL photographs for review, critique and feedback from other Renderosity members. Please use your judgment when uploading photo manipulations and photographs that have been heavily changed. Images containing 2D elements, stock photography or 3D elements should be uploaded to the Mixed Medium or 2D galleries."
which we discussed here not that long ago in great lengths, to accommodate you & others who'd like to upload photos which include even a little "stock or non original" photos then by all means we can discuss it as the mods & coords are here to make you feel welcome & discuss anything you or other members think might need changed in the photo gallery & see to any changes the majority would like
