Cool stuff Michael. Would like to add that the stuff I've read on product photography, you almost never want to have your environment reflecting in/on the product unless it's part of the shoot. Most used some type of diffusion material over the whole thing (like a dome) or a flexible piece of white material that could be used as a reflector. Sort of make a half-moon type shape so that it blocks out the room without blocking out the light. That make sense?
