Subject: BIG HOPE for expressive cartoon characters for Poser 6.

Hi There, I'm really hoping when Poser 6 comes out that more cartoon characters become available. I need a really good generic expressive character - something like Mr Bean in an all in one catsuit. I'm desperate to get into cartoon like animation which was impossible using the default (tee shirt) character in Poser 5 - and the actual cartoon characters in P5 were under developed and frustrating to use. I'm hoping that Alpha Man (part of Poser 6) is going to be expressive - I hope his bulk can be reduced and he has some subtle facial expressions (would be happy if someone could enlighten me).

I have to say that I'm really disappointed that Poser 6 doesn't appear to have anything new in the animation and character rigging side (nothing has been advertised anyway). All new features seem to be render based. I'm hoping that character creation, rigging and animation are the top priorities for Poser 7 and that we don't have to wait too long for it. Poser 7 could be an absolutely brilliant program - I hope Curious labs realise the full potential of Poser - anyway that's for another post.

Cheers

I'm right there with you on the character animation hopes and dreams for Poser. As for toons, I'm working on a line of Justice League/The Incredibles style of characters. I won't say more than that or I'll have to move my own post. Just keep your eyes and ears open.
