My mother is completely deaf. She can hear nothing. She has used sign language and read lips all my life. And guess what? She does not make any grammatical errors when she TYPES. After 50 years of being deaf, she rarely makes them in speech now. Being deaf does not mean that you are so stupid that you can't type a proper letter. My mother started her career as a typist for a big company. She is now head of their finance department. Because of her, 500 people are able to get a check for their wages every week. AND SHE IS COMPLETELY DEAF. I'm sorry, but I must defend my parents. Mother is totally deaf and Daddy is 85% deaf. I am at about a 25% deaf rate at this point. Being deaf does not affect typing.
