Personally I managed to get "stuck" in Poser 6 no less than 3 times within just 3 hours of having it installed. My machine is an amd athlon xp 2800+, video is ati radeon 9800 pro with 1 gig of ram. Asus motherboard, although the model escapes me at the moment. First, the damn FireFly render problem I constantly had with Poser 5. This is the problem that really ticked me off last night. The problem I refer to is when the renderer seems to just "stop". Clicking the cancel button does nothing. You can pull down menu's, but all options are greyed out. The only choice you have is to go into Task Manager and End Task on the Poser process. This is SO irritating as it's such an old bug. I've seen alot of suggested "work arounds", but quite frankly the only workaround I've seen is to render at crappy quality if I have alot of things in my scene. Very irritating, I've already fired off an email (so far ignored). Second, going from the Pose room to the Material room has had some weirdness. Twice I've ended up with the preview window, the materials window and the menu bar, but the background for the screen is transparent (i.e. I can see whatever app is underneath it through the poser interface). Clicking on things does nothing (seems to not be really processing anything I click on). I'll have to take a screenshot the next time it happens, it's hard to explain. Once again, doing an End Task on the Poser process was the only way I could get out of it. This actually happened 3 times on me, but one of those 3 times, it magically came back to life. Argh. Don't get me wrong. I'm a programmer, and there's no such thing as "bug free" software. The FireFly bug, however, is years old, there's just no excuse for it to still be there. All in all, however, I consider this a purchase well-made. Overall I like Poser6 more than I liked 5 and I look forward to the Service Releases to hopefully address any quirks. I'm just trying to be realistic with this post, not necessarily negative :)
