I accutally have a translu-map with veins in it, but they were small and the texture blew them out. Perhaps I'll try removing the texture and adding the translu-map back in and see what happens. Thanks for the photo ref, I'll probably refer to is when adjusting the map. As far as scales on the wings or not, umm I guess the biology of extinct/myological creatures is kinda what we're talking about. I'll probably end up just looking up some good Images at AD&D sites and see what they did.
