Not sure. Need an official confirmation. But anyway, let's go here my 2cents:
open v5i, choose register online... then a new special number, a different one than the serial/licnese/card, is automaticaly created. That number should be directly writen on the e-on registration page at the good place. You do not need it anymore. Btw, may be you'll need to be a registrer user before launch that v5i registration procedure. you see? Step one: register the customer. Step two register the soft through the soft's interfce's menu (the good page will open at e-on and the auto number will be created).
