Hi all, This is an alien model i'm working on for TBKoen's contest . I've used procedural shaders mixed by lo-res textures for the shaders . But i'm not happy with what i got ... Please tell me what you like or don't like, i'm looking for your suggestions ! litst

If you look at a person closely you will see that the color of the skin is not exactly the same over the total surface. Maybe what you need to do is vary the tone across the surface of the face. Your alien looks to be a bit reptilian so maybe at a contrasting color like a green or purple spot to jazz things up a bit. This is a really cool looking head you have going. I look forward to seeing the finished model. Good luck in the contest. -Grimpup

Hi Grimpup I won't do the body of this model : the contest is about to make a alien head . And i don't have Poser . And Carrara needs bones . I've improved the shader as you can see on the image . I think i'm on the right way, what do you think ? Now, i'm gonna make eyes, teeth and a tongue . litst

Don't know if I'm too late to put my two cents worth in, but here goes anyway. Very cool design on the head, here.... I think the dark bands along the skull-ridges may be a bit too abrupt in coloring, but I REALLY like the effect. Keep us posted. (Ignore that, if you've already posted a later version later in the forum; I'm playing catch-up here....) - Chip
