svdl has a good point. With dual processors, it is always best (and recommended) to populate the slots two at a time with identical modules per 'grouping' (usually A and B or similar). Each processor is then allocated its own memory, increasing performance.
C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the
foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg
off.
