Little Dragon, I gather you are asking about the Crease Angle. Objects created in previous versions of Poser and imported OBJ are automatically assigned the default crease angle set in prefrences. This comes out of the box at 80 deg. You can set the default any way you like it. Poser 6 objects have a crease angle setting in the properties that allows you to set it for each object or body part. So, to answer you question it kind of works both ways. There is a scene wide default that you can over ride for each object. PLUS Poser 6's grouping tool allows you to assign smoothing IDs to groups created with the grouping tool. Just like smoothing groups in most other 3D apps. This gives you complete control over the way an object is smoothed. You have s semi-automatic method with crease angle and a micro-managed method using the grouping tool. No longer will models need to have fancy co-planared geometries to make Poser happy. Nerd3D <-- Really happy about that little goodie.
