Yes the PS learning curve is very steep, and yes PSP will do all of what many people will need. There is however much more beneath PS than can be found or even experienced in a trial that lasts a month. OK granted the price of PS is ouch! That said it hasnt got to its status on hype, it has got there for its power and versatility. I had the same dilemma and in the end bit the bullet; I certainly dont regret it, although my pocket may have. The bottom line is, if you can do all you need to do with PSP then there is no need to go to PS.
