If you go up to "File/Import/Poser Document", it will allow you to import another PZ3 or PP2 into your current scene.

Tools :  3dsmax 2015, Daz Studio 4.6, PoserPro 2012, Blender v2.74

System: Pentium QuadCore i7, under Win 8, GeForce GTX 780 / 2GB GPU.

I never knew this. Man, the manual drive me crazy... "the parameter dials are used to set paremeters" not so helpful for a dumb artsy guy like me... in any case, thanks for asking/thanks for answering.

When importing, it's good to remember that the "import" really is a "merge", your scene gets some things from the pz3 but other things are not changed:
-props and figures of the new pz3 are added
-currently selected Camera CHANGED to that of the imported pz3
-document window size is NOT changed
-background color CHANGED
-document display mode NOT changed
-angles etc. of camera settings NOT changed
-render options NOT changed
-lighting angles, colors NOT changed

It can do weird things to your lighting setup, though, I suggest saving lights off to a memory dot or the lighting library prior to importing just in case.

also the dynamics can be blown out if you import, say, a static background scene into a scene that has a character with dynamic hair or cloth. funny thing is, if you import the dynamic scene into the static one, then the dynamics remain. i would've thought it would be the other way around
