I have always posted as phil said, for myself. Comments and viewings are a bonus and greatly cherished. In terms of thumbs, I tend to use a full frame thumbnail as to me it is just a visual tracking aid. I have never felt the need to lure someone to view my work - although I can understand the psychology behind it, it just isn't me.
