I was definately NOT in the book, but you know, Jackson says his move is 'based on' and okay, that's one way of thinking about it. So, I am not objecting because it was not in the book, but because it is a fundamental breach of the Sam/Frodo relationship. There is one point where the Ring Sickness overtakes Frodo so much he thinks FOR AN INSTANT that Sam is an orc trying to take the ring, but that gets shaken off right away. The love and devotion between Sam and Frodo is deeply deeply fundamental to the story, and Jackson was a fool to vilolate it by thinking such a lost soul as gollum could come between. I have used the browser on occasion, but if you want to find out about real opera I suggest La Boheme by Giacomo Puccini to start! Ravishing. ::::: Opera :::::
