Go to this site, You'll have to sign up. It is free. Once signed in you can easily find skies & clouds. I applied this to a 2d Plane, turned off all aspects of shadow on the material, added some fog in the sky lab to ease the transition between the water plane & 2D plane. I changed the focus & pitch of the scene just slightly, added Dracs Z-bird, & some model of a nuke reactor I got on the net. If you load a small image to the 2D plane ,you'll get low resolution artifacts on the plane and it'll appear grainy. There are tons of other sites out there with High-Res skies too. Check the Bryce Resource links. Images should be over 1000 pixels length and/or width. After a few practice runs, you'll get the hang of it.

Enjoy.
ICM p.s. This took me all of 20 mins. From reading your post to posting this. It gets much easier with practice. Oh yeah...No Postwork either. BRYCE ON!!
