I'm no expert with booleans Kevin, but perhaps if you are interested in modeling objects for use in Vue you may be interested in the Wings 3D forum here; alot of people seem to like it. I hear it's an excellent modelling program, and best of all it's free. (Click on their forum banner to download it.) There is a mini tutorial on modeling a radial aircraft engine in one of the early threads to help get you up and running. Once you get familiar with it you will have far more creation freedom than booleans alone can offer. Just a thought.
