Actually I don't worry about the site itself spamming, more the worry that the info gets sold to other folks. Why do you need all of the info if you are just giving away a free item? Also a lot of the free web sites like to kick cookies down to you which can be annoying. If I have to register I typically will pass on the free item, rarely do I sign up. As far as leeching goes, I see that some sites are sending you to another area that you have to hit a download button from, which generally discourages leeching since they have to work at it. Marque
