well if $ was no object, then definately HIRE someone instead. then you could focus on developing the core game dynamics and story, not itsy-bitsy models and landscapes. lol, okay that out of the way. youll wana go with a full production quality modeling and rendering application. im sure youve heard of 3d studio max, maya, lightwave. there are alot of others, some are thousands of dollars more expensive but they all essentially do what you want to do. but they also all have a very steep learning curve. the poser vue combo might be your best bet.
