Well if you want high/broadcast quality forget rendering to avi for starters... You need to render to images (try png or tga cuz they allow for alpha channels) and then assemble your image sequence to video with a external application, I use VirtualDub because it's easy, fast & free! NTSC DVD resolution is 720 x 480 by the way... I always render at 1024 x 768 and my mpeg encoder (MainConcept MPG encoder) reduces it to the 720 x 480 so I suppose the extra initial resolution is just quality assurance!! Hope this helps! Gerard
