Several days ago, Pakled named an image he was working on "Escher Sketch" and I tried to make an awkward joke that I had coined that pun in 2003 and therefore owned it. He took me seriously and I apologized over the course of several IMs and told Pakled as far as I was concerned that he had every right to use it as a title if he wished to, with my blessings. Here is a smaller version of my Escher-Sketch which I uploaded to my gallery on April 15, 2003, along with a link to the larger version in the gallery.

I am a huge fan of "The Simpsons" in all its forms, for instance I own all 5 of the released DVD season collections thus far, and read the comic book version published by Bongo Comics (which do a great job of maintaining the level of humor of the television show). I picked up an recent issue copyrighted 2005 entitled "The Simpson/Futurama Crossover Crisis II" and was surprised to discover the following panel on page 16.

I have absolutely no intention of suing anybody, because I love these guys and there's no way any of them saw my image, but I bet I could, LOL. What do you think about this? I keep hearing the "Twilight Zone" theme playing in my head, LOL. "Do do do do, do do do doh!" Love, John

What do I think about this? Well, I think (based on previous forum experience) that Renderosity member tjohn is really rather bright, and therefore will have already deduced that the wordplay notion of "Escher Sketch" will have previously occured to others. Well I can't go along with the "rather bright" part without sounding full of myself, which I really am not. But it had occurred to me that I probably wasn't the first to come up with that particular pun, but I do think I'd did rather well with it. :^)

Hey, it's no problem! I thought it was funny..;) I've done it before, so it's no big deal. I've created models that someone six months later did again (the fact that theirs were better has nothing to do with it..;) I was just being 'cute' as usual..;) Land sakes, I wonder what the first person to use the 'nviatwas' anagram gets on the basis of royalties..;) Not to worry..;)

I have a similar problem as pakled. I'll be working on a picture, then just before I can do a final render, Rochr or orbital or garyandcatherine will post practically the same picture. It's very frustrating. Bryce On!
