During the 1990s, the EPA effectively banned the use of coal for energy production which, in turn, raised the demand for Natural Gas. Many cities are now powering busses and other municipally owned vehicles with Natural Gas causing a further increase in demand for this cleaner burning yet, still limited supply of energy. And as demand rises, availability drops, and prices rise.
