If your looking for Photorealistic eyes, I'd go and get a Morris texture use V3 and some Prop eyes (blackhearted makes a good set over at RDNA, but I don't remember the name of them.) Also remember the bump and displacement maps for the close up. A lower setting is great for long shots, but you need to kick it up a bit when you close in on the subject.
