Heya, For bryce you could use a pic of crumpled paper...and apply it to a symetrical lattice...you should get a roughly ball shaped crumpled looking object. If you aren't doing closeups it should work out okay. I generally use terrains for this by doubling and flipping them then grouping them together...mainly cause I hit terrain instead of lattice when I start out and can't be bothered changing it :)Hope this helps. Downlaod Spatch or Hamapatch, they are both good and both free, and very easy to model with. Both programs would be quiet able to produce excellent crumpled or even semi crumpled bits/balls of paper or even sheets of fabric or paper caught by the wind.... PS: spatch has help, Hamapatch does not, yet, as far as I know, but is a little more advanced than spatch. PPS: If you do use them try the noise button after you have modelled a sheet of paper.

While i was making rumpled-paper terrains for a street scene, i began to wonder how one would create a ball of crumpled paper in Bryce... or in any 3-D program, for that matter. Rocks with transparency are interesting, but don't quite fill the bill. What would you-all suggest? i need something to keep my pebbles, broken asphalt, roaches, cigarette butts, trash cans, beer bottles, and dumpsters company.
