I have to agree with BlueRain. I have been an amateur costume historian for years, seeking out examples of period dresses from the 16th-19th centuries for the most part, and what I miss more than anything is the sense of aesthetics...of beauty. No one can deny that there is going to be discomfort in wearing a heavily boned corset and layers and layers of crinoline. But, oh, what utter delight in the whole art of fashion when its design is to make the wearer beautiful, rather than just "in style." Serge, I await each and every one of your designs with great anticipation, and am never disappointed with your artistry. It is such a pleasure to know there are others out there who can appreciate the pre-Industrial ideal of femininity. Cheers, and thank you for the beautiful dress! Kimberly
