Strange. I have AliceHair_Vicky from Koz, and don't have problems using it for V3. Here is a quick draft render.

I simply go to Library/Hair and my Koz folder and load the hair. No need to conform (greyed out), and you can't parent it either. The thumbnail I have in my library is the one on the right, above.
