Subject: C4D or Poser for Animal Poses?

Poser is not the kind of app one would use to create a mesh. If you own Cinema4D (which version?) then that is far better suited than any version of Poser. Secondly, you have to do the rigging. This is not easy. Poser is, once it's done, visually easier, but does not offer the softIK, vertex maps and Claude Bonet maps C4D has.(I'm talking about Cinema9 now with the Mocca module) What's more, there's an excellent plugin for Cinema by CactusDan for rigging without having to own Mocca. So I'd go the Cinema route as it offers more options for better joints. The learning curve is approximately the same. (= not easy) Except when you have the free Cinema6. In that case, I'd get free Wings3D and do the rigging in Poser.
