Using Win XP, I did find that when I render stuff in Genetica(texture creator) it's fast....I have a large scene in bryce that takes 3days to render, I'll see if there's any improvement in load time, importing and render time with that one....it's 528mb Bryce scene. I'm thinking of adding 2gigs more of ram though.... For the external hard drives they're both Seagate, 120GB, and are on highspeed USB ports, and basically are for storage only (backup), things come and go to them very quickly, so no problem there.....I guess I was expecting things to happen instanteously with the HT, and so far not finding it......
