Once you get your doc window and tool bars in the right place, and have set your 'Prefered State', also set a 'UI Dot'. I find that the Poser intreface has a habit of going "wonky" from time to time, and a UI Dot is a quick way to fix it. Also save a pz3 as somthing like 'My Default.pz3', you can double click on this to open Poser in that stste, if the UI dot becomes unavailable for any reason. I also backup these files: Poser #Poser.RSR C:Poser #RuntimePREFSPoser.ini C:Poser #RuntimePREFSpreferredState.pz3 Call me paranoid if you like, but when - and from my own experence I do mean when, not if - Poser goes into melts down, I find that restoring these files will usually fix things.
